Fell off the Wagon

Just a quick update post.  I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving and hopefully a long and restful weekend.  I've been absent from the blog for a while due to work, but I have been reading your wonderful blogs, printing  your delicious recipes and hope to catch up with you all over the next two weeks.

As for my workout stats, well there isn't much to tell.  I got up early for two mornings this week and did a great workout (P90X chest & back and Insanity Pure Cardio & Cardio Abs) despite having some lingering pain from the Bob Harper DVD I did last week.  After that though, I was down for the count.  I must have pulled something in my mid-back that limits my ability to even stand still, let alone jump around or do weight bearing activity.  Don't even get me started on standing in line this past Friday at the stores.  I ended up leaving the mall near tears from the pain.  That's right!!  I walked away from shopping the good deals even!!  LOL

Anyway, we are hoping to get back on the ball tomorrow.  I'm going to follow the P90X plan from the start again since that is the program that I feel gave me the greatest results.  From time to time I'll sub out the cardio DVDs when I get too bored.

So, until next week!!  Have a great one.

Oh yeah, and I have been cooking and baking.  I can't wait to share the delicious granola bars I've been making and a sinful grilled ahi tuna roll.  So yummy!!

  1. Hey girl! I've been wondering where you've been hibernating. Sorry about your injury... that BLOWS! Which Bob Harper DVD got you hurt anyways? (So I know NOT to do that one! LOL)

Good luck next week when you start up again!!! I can't wait to see your granola recipe. I love me some granola. :)

I am currently eating my way through another batch of sugar cookies. Way to end the X, right? LOL

  2. I too am heading back to the X which gave me the best results so far. Actually, I think that my results will be even better this time because I know how hard and how far I can push my body and I am not going to wimp out this round. I start tonight... I hope that you are feeling better and that both our bodies listen to our minds and behave throughout the program.

    Make it a great day!

  3. Thanks for the well wishes!

It was his new cardio DVD Laura. I want to try it again and then post a review, but there is a move in it (it's in it quite a bit actually) that is just no good for me at all. I won't even share with you what I've been eating lately - so sugar cookies I totally understand. :)

Good luck Gaspegirl. Looks like we're both "coming home". Can't wait to hear how you do.

  4. Awww. I am sorry to hear about your injury, too. Hopefully you are healing. But ease back into it!

I just got my JM 6 week Six Pack... did it once this morn. Can't wait to trade opinions with ya.

  5. Thanks Melissa. Wow, you got your DVD early. Mine should be here today and of course, I have a stomach thing so I'm not sure I'll be able to do it tonight. But I am anxious to compare notes!
